Dragonfly 920 trimaran

This Dragonfly 920 Extreme trimaran was launched in November 2007 and offers a rare opportunity to secure one of the last Dragonfly 920 Extremes built. This model was awarded the prestgious 'European Yacht of the Year' award at its launch in 2003, in recognition of its ground-breaking combination of performance and comfort.

This Dragonfy 920 has been used primarily for cruising in the Solent area and is only for sale as the owner plans a larger Dragonfly for longer-range cruising. He has maintained the boat in excellent condition and it is beautifully presented in white gelcoat with special-order metallic grey stripework. The full sail inventory includes an almost new tri-radial kevlar mainsail and carbon/kevlar laminate genoa plus two asymmetric spinnakers, one which is on an endles furler system.

Raymarine instruments including chartplotter are fitted. Charging is provided by the upgraded 15hp outboard (with electric tilt function) or the charge-controlled solar panel on the foredeck, ensuring the battery is maintained at full charge ready for use.

Additional portlights in the forward cabin plus beautiful teak and holly floors throughout create a wonderful atmosphere below and add to cruising comfort.

"The Dragonfly is all about having fun, extreme fun. When we sheeted in and first hit 10 knots - all verified by GPS - that was a bit of a 'wow', but when we returned to 10 knots later it just seemed slow. Because by then we'd eased up through the teens, and peaked at 22 knots; 22 knots in a 30 footer - now that was the real wow! And that, as every editor scrambled for 'their turn' was why she convincingly won her category in EYOTY 2003"
