The flagship of the range was designed and developed at Quorning Boats in 1997-99 by Borge and Jens Quorning and was introduced to the market in January 2000 as Quorning Boats' contribution to the new Millennium. It was awarded the title Boat of the Year 2001 in the USA.

The Dragonfly 1200 Ocean Cruiser is, as the name says, designed for safe blue water sailing. Thanks to the ingenious Swing Wing system, the Dragonfly 1200 is no wider in the marina than a conventional monohull yacht of the same length, and you still have the full advantage of a trimaran.

This yacht is still the biggest production-folding trimaran in the world, and Quorning Boats have now really proved that folding trimarans of this size could be made safe and seaworthy, and even a child can fold this big vessel within a few minutes - using no tools.

When you take a close look at this boat, you will see that close attention has been paid to all details, and the boat can still be easily sailed single-handed. All functions and reefing systems are led to the roomy center cockpit, which makes sail handling easy and offers good visibility.

The highest quality products are used throughout boat and rigging - like the standard carbon mast, Andersen winches and Frederiksen hardware

Each boat manufactured is built and equipped according to the special demands of the owners. For more information, please see the panoramic tour on the factory website: www.dragonfly.dk
